Roberto Reggi

On 23rd September 2014, he became Director of the Agenzia del Demanio which manages the real estate assests of the Italian government. He has a degree in Engineering and worked in a leading company in the production of electricity. In 1994, he became responsible for the social and housing policies of the city of Piacenza at a local level. In June 2002, he became mayor of Piacenza. In 2007, he started his second mandate as mayor. During his political and administrative activities, he clearly showed his attention to social issues particularly those regarding children and elderly people. On the 20th November 2003, during the anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child he was nominated  by the local section of the UNICEF in Piacenza the “Ideal guardian of the children”. In May 2005, he became Head for the local management of the water, waste collection and waste disposal services in Piacenza. In June 2005, he was nominated national Vice-president  of the Italian Forum for Urban Safety and in October 2009 he became national Vice-president of Anci taking care of heritage, facilities and civil protection. In April 2012, he was nominated Head of the Common Heritage Foundation of Anci and in 2014, he was nominated State Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education, Universities and Research. He is the foundator of the voluntary association in the educational field which then became a social cooperative. Currently, he is the President of the “Casa di Iris” foundation which is a facility for oncologic patients.
